Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”
No person can expect to live on this earth forever. We don’t have the promise of another day, regardless how young we are.
Death is the common enemy of all mankind. But what can we expect after our life on earth is over? Does death usher us into oblivion, or into something more?
Throughout the Bible we see that death is not the end, but rather the beginning. The beginning of life in eternity. Between these two modes of existence (life on earth and life in eternity), we will face the judgment.
How then should we live?
Have you considered that, after death, you will be ushered into the presence of the Almighty God?
Have you accepted the Son, Christ Jesus, as the offering for your sins and the guide for your life? In allowing Him to become your Savior now, you need not fear Him being your judge then.

I saw this billboard near my hometown. I felt really happy. I felt assured that I was going to heaven and meet Jesus Christ our lord and saviour. But I have a question. If I am nice to everybody, read the holy bible every day, go to church many times a week; will I come to heaven? I want to feal assured about this. I am an old woman, and don’t know how long my life will last. Please answer. Halleluja. Praise the lord!
@Holly Amy: Being ready to meet Jesus isn’t just a question of good works. The real question is: Have I submitted to Jesus, and allowed Him to take control of my life. Have I confessed my sins to Him and allowed Him to cleanse me of them? None of us can live a life good enough to merit going to heaven. Instead of constantly asking myself: Am I doing enough good things, I should ask, Am I serving Christ out of a genuine love and a desire to please him. To many of us are Christians for what we can get out of it, rather then for what we can do to serve Christ.
Saw this billboard on I75 south of Atlanta. Just what was needed at this time. Sent the info and number to our daughter so that she can share with a young man in the hospital who has lived a life of drugs and crime and knows his time on this Earth is near the end. He’s asking for forgiveness.
I saw this billboard on McDowell Road in Phoenix, AZ. It was all white with big black letters that said, “When You Die You Will See God.” It spoke to me. Because, really, isn’t that what we’re all waiting for? At the end of life to meet our Savior? To be released from this relentless World of tiresome routine and achieve freedom.
I was on Route 78 near Newark NJ yesterday when I happened to look up and noticed the billboard which read, “After you die, you WILL meet God”. First thing that happened at that moment was a sobering thought came over me. The second thing I thought was thank you God for the reminder. It truly brought me back to a place I haven’t thought about in a long time.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
