Peter watched as the waves crashed around him and then suddenly he was immersed in the turbulent water himself. He sank quickly and cried out in despair. As he slipped into the waves Jesus reached out his hand and caught him and pulled him out of the water.
As I write this, the world is reeling from the shock of COVID-19, also known as coronavirus.
My wife and I were 2,500 miles from home when COVID-19 hit. In a month’s time it had evolved from being one country’s problem to becoming a deadly threat to the entire world.
Jesus says, “Come unto me”. Contact a chaplain or request more information or spiritual help.
Do you feel like you are drowning? Do you feel like no one is able to help you? Do you feel like you are beyond saving? Jesus is standing by, ready to rescue you from your hopeless situation. It doesn’t matter how deep you have sunk in the waters of despair or how badly you have messed up with your life. Look up and you will see Jesus reaching down into the waves. It’s never too late to find hope in his loving arms, even at the fourth watch of the night.
